Dreams from my grandparents

As the founder of an AI, Automation, and Robotics firm, I often reflect on the lessons I learned from my grandparents, who have both passed away. My grandfather was a bank executive, while my grandmother was a homemaker. Although they had very different careers, both of them had an entrepreneurial spirit that inspired me as I embarked on my own startup journey.

I miss them dearly, and I often think about how much they would have loved to see the company I’ve built. Their early lessons and thinking have been invaluable in translating success during the startup journey. For example, my grandmother always emphasized the importance of managing with what you have. This has taught me to be resourceful and creative in finding solutions to challenges. When we were struggling to secure funding in the early stages of our business, we didn’t give up. Instead, we focused on making the most of the resources we had, such as leveraging our network to connect with potential investors and using free tools to build our brand and reach our target audience.

My grandfather, on the other hand, taught me the importance of delivering results and being detail-oriented. He believed in doing things right the first time and being thorough in everything we do. This attention to detail has helped us deliver a high-quality product that meets our customers’ needs. For example, when we were developing a new feature for our product, we took the time to thoroughly test it and ensure that it was working perfectly before releasing it to our customers.

Another lesson I learned from my grandmother was the importance of always being positive. Despite facing many challenges in her life, she always had a positive attitude and never lost hope. This has helped me stay motivated and optimistic, even in the face of setbacks and obstacles. For example, when we encountered unexpected technical difficulties during the development of our product, we didn’t let it bring us down. Instead, we stayed positive and worked together to find a solution.

In conclusion, my grandparents have left a lasting impact on my entrepreneurial journey. Their emphasis on managing with what you have, delivering results, being positive, and understanding that you control your destiny have been invaluable. Although I miss them dearly, I am grateful for their wisdom and guidance, and I strive to honor their memory by continuing to embody these values in everything I do. As shown in the attached image, they were there for me from the very beginning, and their love and support will always be a source of inspiration for me.
